The Legend of the Dogwood.
A beautiful Easter legend tells that the wood of the dogwood tree was used to make the cross upon which Christ was crucified. The legend goes on to state that Christ declared that all who see the Dogwood will remember his crucifixion when the Dogwood would bear its blossoms. Those blossoms would be in the form of a cross and on the tip of each petal would be nail holes, rust from the nails and blood stains. In the center of the blossom would be the symbols of the crown of thorns.
In honor of the Easter Holiday please enjoy the complimentary dogwood blossom in remembrance of that beautiful legend.
